Neutral tones are this summer’s favorite trend – besides maybe neon. What makes the neutral palette so great, however, is how timeless it is. Neutral tones and textures have been popular and fashionable since the beginning of fashion history and, in my opinion, they will continue to maintain their A list status for quite some time.
The following is an ensemble of some of my favorite pieces – the entire outfit is less than $100. In fact, get all three fabulous pieces for a grand total of $92.36!
Embroidered Afterglow Peasant Top ($29.95)
Pilcro Set Slim Cropped Jeans ($39.95)
Women’s Braided Sandals ($22.46)
So, I try to keep things pretty cheap around here but there are some timeless pieces worth the occasional splurge. The key to knowing when to splurge is being able to identify something that will last you more than two or three seasons and that you feel you could be comfortable in at any age.
One of my favorite closet basics is a great pair of jeans. The boyfriend jean, especially the deconstructed boyfriend jean, is one of my favorite fits and can transition seamlessly from outfit to outfit. There’s a way to do denim and there’s a way NOT to do denim and I’m going to help you out by providing a few visual guidelines. [Note: Notice how many of the DO styles are paired with items already recommended to you by previous blog posts? I totally planned that.]
Firstly…this IS how we do denim:

Good morning, fashionable friends!
Today’s deal is an adorable little dress from Sabine. At only $54.99, this little number will have you turning heads wherever you go. Pair it with a cute cardi and some flats to dress it down. Add some wedges and bare those shoulders for a flirty day of fun in the sun. Maybe add a great blazer to dress it up some more. Any way you wear it, this fun and fashionably frugal is a great buy!
